Do I need an appointment?

While appointments are highly recommended, we do accept walk-ins if our schedule allows. Appointments will take priority in terms of availability of stylist and dressing room. We recommend making an appointment so that you receive your stylist’s undivided attention for the duration of your appointment.

How do appointments work?

We believe the process of picking your gown should be enjoyable and interactive. We work with you one on one to learn about your big day and help find your dream dress- one that creates your desired look and best fits your figure.

Will you have sizes for me to try on? What sizes do you carry?

You will be able to try on sample size gowns ranging from 14-34! We offer up to size 34W in most styles and also offer custom sizing from our own private collection that is catered to curvy brides.

What is the price range of your gowns?

We have something beautiful for every bride at every price point! Our prices start at approximately $1,400 and we go up from there.

How long do appointments typically last?

Appointments last approximately 60-90 minutes each. On the weekends, we must stay within the allotted time scheduled to keep appointments for other brides. If you’d prefer a quieter atmosphere, we highly suggest making an appointment during a weekday.

Who should I bring with me to my appointment?

We request that you keep your party limited to 4-5 guests for your appointment. This will give your friends & family (and yourself!) the most enjoyable experience. Our recommendation is to bring the people who will support your vision and taste, and who will be honest without giving negative criticism. We also recommend you do not bring children – we love kids but this is your appointment time to focus on you!

What should I bring with me to my appointment?

It is always important to bring proper undergarments to your appointment. We request that a strapless bra and proper underwear are worn while trying on wedding gowns. We do have shape wear for the midsection and strapless bras available for brides to try on and purchase during their appointment as well.

How and when do I pay for my wedding dress?

Given that our gowns are all special made to order, all sales are final. Due to the nature of our specialty salon, we require that the balance be paid in full to place your order. There are no refunds, exchanges, or credits available. We accept all credit cards, personal checks, and cash as well as payment over the telephone.

How long does it take to order my wedding dress?

As all of our gowns are special made to order, we typically expect gowns to be delivered in 4 – 6 months from the time of your purchase. We recommend ordering your gown at least 8 – 12 months prior to your wedding to allow for delivery and alterations. If your wedding is at an earlier date than normal delivery time, we do have options available for you to still have the gown you love!

Do you charge for appointments?

Yes and No! No, you do not need to pay for an appointment with us but we do ask that you be respectful of the time and service we are setting aside for you and to please show up in a timely manner for your appointment. If for some reason you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know with as much time as possible so we can offer your spot to another wonderful bride! Occasionally, a bride will want tot schedule a follow up or second appointment and yes- this appointment does have a fee of $150. This is to ensure that your stylist and your gown(s) are specially reserved and waiting for you. When you officially say YES to the dress (yay!) that $150 booking fee will then get applied to your purchase. However, if you do not select a gown with us, it is non-refundable.

Do you have in-store alteration services?

New Jersey: Yes! We do offer in-store alterations for gowns purchased from Brides by Young!

Chicago & Indianapolis: We do not have in-store alteration services available but we do have partnerships with local seamstresses who can assist you in the alterations process.

Every bride will require alterations, whether it is a hem and bustle, taking in, or just the final tweaks to perfect your gown.
